Very poor camera for the money June 11, 2007 Twinman (RI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I gave one of these cameras to my daughter for Christmas. The picture quality is poor. Blurry, as if we were moving camera around while taking picture. We used a table to steady the camera and still, there are no really clear lines in the photos. I went on the DXG-USA web site to complain and we were offered general suggestions on how to take better pictures. After contacting the company by phone, they told us to send it back. We did. The company sent th camera back to us with a note that said, "no problem found". They did not seam to be interesd in making the customer happy. We took more pictures and sent it back to the company letting them see how poor the quality was. The company took their own pictures and emailed the pictures to me. Thoses pictures are blurry as well. There are no areas in the photos that are really in focus. They sent the camera back to us a second time and said that the camera was working. We have compared photos from other cameras taken at same time under identicle lighting conditions and the DXG is very blurry compared to all of the other cameras. We are stuck with a blurry camera.
A great multi-media product January 7, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I received this camera for christmas and it has many functions. When you turn the camera on you see a main menu that that displays a camera with the word 'camera' under it. Using the joystick, turning right, there is Music Playback, then Video, Photo Playback, Movie Playback, Record Voice, Radio, Game, and System. Camera- A normal digital camera, high quality though, features like turning the pictures from color to b & w to sepia, flash, white balance, etc. Also, has 5.0 Megapixel, 4x zoom (ten steps) Music Playback- Haven't really used this feature yet, but plays mp3 format. Video- Record video, color, black and white, sepia, white balance, file format, etc. Excellent sound and picture. Hook up the included cords and plug into an AV out in a television, record and watch recorded tv programs or movies. Photo Playback- View jpg photos and also use direct print. Movie Playback- View .avi movies Record Voice- Thats pretty much it, you record voice. Radio- Listen to FM radio with manual and scan. Record and playback radio also. Game- 4 different games including 'Boxman'(strategize to push boxes to all of the circles) 'Tetris' 'Memory'(Matching game) and 'Gobang'(Connect Four or Five?) System- Date/Time setting, beep on/off, language, auto lcd off, auto power off. ~Can also be used as a Mass Storage Driver and PC Camera~ ------------------------------------------ I/O Terminal- AV Out, Earphone, AV in, MIC, DC In -Included- Camera Camera Case Earphones Li-ion battery DC-IN 5V Adapter Charger stand DC-IN Connector AV Cable USB Cable Wrist Strap User manual Driver and application software Media Converter (it does not say this in my manual, but it was included in my box.) Not included SD Memory Card (32 MB - 2GB compatible) I recommend this highly, can pretty much do everything, but battery takes up to five hours to charge, and if left in charger too long too often, battery life shortens. So if planning to use this often, try to get another battery. - Twelve year old from Utah
