Great addition to the set January 8, 2009 Jeffrey K Wilson As noted by the previous reviewer, this is a good addition to your RB drum set. It rounds the set out and makes it look slightly more realistic. I have the triple cymbal pack along with this and it make it look like a real set instead of just 4 pads mounted on poles. While it's not 100% realisic, it's good enough to match my so-so drumming skills. I recommend it for your set.
For what it is, it's pretty good! October 26, 2008 B. Figgins 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This kick drum screen turned out to be much better than expected. First of all, it's not cardboard - it's a thin cloth with a hard edge. You can fold it down, and it'll pop back into shape next time you pull it out. The included clips don't just clamp onto the edge, but actually wrap around it a bit, so you know it's being held securely. It's still just a cosmetic tweak, but it's actually not bad if you've got a few extra bucks to blow on Rock Band. There are a few downsides. The screen is just a little small; it could have really used another inch or two of diameter to really look good in proportion to the rest of the kit. Also, the two clips don't really have a good place to rest on the kit. You can mount them on the legs, but they tend to slip a little, making your screen lopsided. You can mount them high up on the body, where there's a little lip that holds the clip nicely, but that has the effect of stretching out the screen (since it's held on the bottom by a loop that goes around the lower support bar), and it looks a little funny to have a 'kick drum' suspended a foot above the ground. This is assuming you play with the drums fairly high like I do. I'm working on a solution there, because it seems like a logical way to mount this thing. Anyway, that's it - it's about as nice and usable an item as you can get, considering it's just a circle to be stuck on the front of your kit. But if you're shelling out for cymbals and other accessories, it's worth a few bucks to hide your hard-workin' legs from the audience.
